₱167 a Month: Singlife, AUB Launch In-App Health Insurance on HelloMoney and Hello Pag-IBIG

Singlife Philippines and Asia United Bank (AUB) announced Thursday the integration of Singlife’s 100-in-1 Medical Plan into AUB’s HelloMoney and Hello Pag-IBIG mobile applications. The partnership allows users of the digital banking platforms to browse, purchase, and manage health and accident coverage directly within the applications.

Partnership Details and Pricing

According to a joint statement, the insurance plan provides coverage against accidents and more than 100 critical conditions, including heart attack, stroke, and cancer.

The medical plan is available starting at ₱167 per month, with coverage packages reaching up to ₱1 million. The integration is currently live and accessible on both the iOS and Android versions of the HelloMoney and Hello Pag-IBIG apps.

Making Coverage Available to Everyday Users

Singlife Philippines Chief Executive Officer Lester Cruz stated that the 100-in-1 Medical Plan was developed to address the costs associated with critical illnesses. Cruz noted that the collaboration with AUB utilizes the bank’s existing digital applications to make the coverage available to everyday users.

AUB President Manuel A. Gomez stated that the initiative combines the bank’s digital banking reach with Singlife’s insurance products to reach underinsured individuals.

What is Singlife Philippines

Singlife Philippines is a mobile-first life insurance company that secured its license to operate from the Philippine Insurance Commission in February 2020. It is a subsidiary of Singlife Singapore, which is wholly owned by Japanese life insurer Sumitomo Life.

AUB is a commercial bank in the Philippines that operates the HelloMoney e-wallet and manages the Hello Pag-IBIG app on behalf of the Home Development Mutual Fund (Pag-IBIG Fund).
