Crypto Executives Forecast Market Growth, AI Integration as TOKEN2049 Concludes in Singapore

Digital asset executives projected multi-trillion-dollar market expansions and unveiled onchain infrastructure for artificial intelligence as the TOKEN2049 conference concluded its two-day summit at Marina Bay Sands on Oct. 8.

The sold-out conference drew 25,000 attendees from 160 countries across six stages, marked by presentations outlining institutional treasury accumulation, autonomous agent economies and regulated real-world asset tokenization. ^{Speakers throughout the event emphasized that digital asset settlement rails and automated software agents represent the primary structural catalysts for the next market cycle.}

Institutional Treasury and Macro Targets

Fundstrat Co-Founder Tom Lee stated that a broader digital asset bull market is underway, citing institutional adoption, technical moving averages and the completion of a four-year market bottom. Lee revealed that digital asset treasury firm Bitmine accumulated 6 million Ether over the past 15 months, primarily near $1,500. Bitmine requires 100,000 additional Ether to reach its target of holding 5% of the total circulating Ethereum supply, completing an accumulation target originally projected to take five years.

Real Vision CEO Raoul Pal forecast that the total crypto market capitalization will reach $100 trillion, driven by rising capital expenditures in computing infrastructure. Pal projected Bitcoin reaching a market capitalization between $10 trillion and $15 trillion, stating that autonomous software agents will outpace human users in transaction volume and financial velocity.

Earlier in the event, serial entrepreneur Balaji Srinivasan opened discussions on distributed “network cities,” joined by Polymarket CEO Shayne Coplan, who outlined how prediction markets evolved into core decentralized financial building blocks.

On the decentralized finance front, Aave Labs CEO Stani Kulechov and Synthetix Founder Kain Warwick noted that tokenized real-world assets are poised to outpace traditional crypto lending as regulatory frameworks mature.

AI Infrastructure and Agent Economies

Protocol developers introduced several initiatives linking digital assets with artificial intelligence systems during the conference. Maelstrom Chief Investment Officer Arthur Hayes unveiled Flop Network, a compute-backed currency framework engineered for software agents using proof of useful inference.

On Oct. 8, developer platform Moss announced an agent token launchpad on BNB Chain utilizing the FAT Protocol, enabling autonomous agents to issue tokenomics and administer treasuries using public onchain reasoning logs. In agent discovery, indexer 8004scan completed a platform rebrand alongside market platform Alpharc, indexing more than 550,000 software agents across 30 blockchain networks.

Decentralized finance exchanges Orca and Loopscale also completed a merger to operate as Formation under CEO Luke Truitt. The combined entity combines automated trading liquidity with debt vaults to build capital markets for emerging computational and digital assets under the ORCA token system.

Protocol Upgrades and Security Frameworks

Stacks Labs CEO Muneeb Ali presented a development roadmap through 2030 for the Stacks network, identifying native Bitcoin staking, confidential transactions and post-quantum cryptographic security as priorities for Bitcoin-based finance.

Infrastructure firm Project Eleven introduced Strongpoint, a post-quantum custody platform developed with the Zcash Foundation as its initial partner. Cardano Foundation also announced CIP-0113, a programmable token standard certified by the Capital Markets and Technology Association to embed compliance rules such as identity verification directly into native tokens. Concurrently, Cardano Foundation spun out digital identity enterprise Veridian, tokenizing its equity through the standard.

Regulated Finance and Global Expansion

Asset tokenization platform Superstate presented its Asian expansion plans following a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission regulatory exemption granted in September. Superstate supports more than $1 billion in tokenized funds managed by Invesco, Bitwise and Coinbase Asset Management.

Fixed-income protocol Gyld Finance outlined plans for a fourth-quarter launch of tokenized corporate debt securities, while quantitative manager Starkiller Capital opened pre-deposits for CrowdCent Fund, an onchain statistical arbitrage vault. Toto Finance Founder Monty C. M. Metzger also unveiled his book, “Tokenization: Capital for Humanity,” projecting blockchain integration into commodities and physical assets.

TOKEN2049 Co-Founder Alex Fiskum announced that the conference series will expand to the United States with TOKEN2049 New York on June 16–17, 2027. Organizers project 15,000 attendees for the event, making New York the brand’s third annual location alongside Singapore and Dubai.
